There’s only one ATM in Barra and no proper bank, so this little machine gets a LOT of use. And it often runs out of cash. If there’s a line, don’t wait until the line is gone, because that means the money is gone too. You’ve been warned.

As of January 2024, it’s been at least two years since this ATM has been filled, as far as we know. So the only ATM in Barra de Navidad appears to be the one in the lobby of the Grand Isla Navidad Resort across the channel from town. Or you can do what most do in the area, and make a trip to Melaque to use any of the handful of ATMs there.
