Lovely shakedown destination from marina San Carlos
For most people splashing in Marina San Carlos (MSC) this is the first place they'll anchor. it's a couple hour sail (usually because the wind is on the nose coming from MSC so several tacks are required) yet it's close enough that if anything goes wrong it's easy to get back to the Marina. Plus - there are restaurants ashore that you can access from the dinghy. The only downside is it can get pretty crowded with cruisers AND the party boats from MSC come here to drop anchor for the day / early evening. Also - frequently there are lots of wave runners with curious locals who want to check out the boat - so they come very close. All in all -great place to anchor.
