Whew! After that gigantic, slightly better than epic road trip (see previous posts), we found ourselves back in San Diego. And just in time to celebrate Randy’s 50th one more (and last) time, participate in the San Diego Climate March, play a couple more rounds of golf, go sailing on Mission Bay, squeeze in a trip to DC for Jody, and, of course, eat. It’s always so good for the soul to be home (but not so great for the waistline).
The summer of 2019 was fabulous, as we traveled to amazing places and saw so many of our brethren who are so dear to us. I know we’ve said this before, but there’s no way to adequately express how lucky we feel to be living the life we’re living. I am in this charmed position in which I don’t have to work (at the moment anyway) thanks to my dedicated, tenacious, and generous spouse. Without his commitment to his work and his clients (and a reliable cellular data connection), we would not be where we are right now. So incredibly lucky. Just a smidgen of advice should you choose to accept it…Spend time with your people. Wherever they are. Even if you don’t think you have time, make time. It will fill you up and memories will be made that can forever be cherished. (How’s that for sappy?) Just do it.
Welp, there’s no telling what the upcoming year has in store for us, but check back here now and then and you’ll find out. Thanks to everyone who contributed photos for the SD and DC post, and thanks to all of our subscribers for sticking with us…Enjoy!
