There aren’t really sufficient words to describe this experience. Just watch the video – all one long shot. Pretty astonishing. We’ll be adding more to this post eventually, but wanted to publish this so all of you could live vicariously through us 😉 Enjoy!
Only scary cuz the water clarity was marginal and they move haphazardly. Nevertheless, a surreal experience!
Our pleasure! 😉
Totally. Amazing and beautiful!
Randy, don’t just stand there…jump in!
Ha! We swam with others, but this one’s arrival was a surprise!
Looks like a good blow is coming with TS Lidia. Hopefully it is non-event for you by the time it gets to the Northern sea.
Yes! TS Lidia was tame compared to Irma – thankfully!
Whoa! What…no swimin with this one
How great is that!!! Wish I were there.
I thought you might jump in with the creature and take a ride?
Looks like you could swim into its gaping mouth and back out without touching the sides!!
Maybe next time??…..
Sounds like you are having a blast!!
Keep it up.
SJM!! So nice to “see” you on our blog! Glad you’re enjoying our adventures, as are we! Yay! Hope all is well in your world!
Incredible footage of the Whale Shark! I was able to get in a tank and swim with the two we have here at the Georgia Aquarium and it was an experience of a lifetime. They’re actually quite gentle! Saw your parent at Little Point Sable last weekend. They look fantastic and I love their energy. I asked for your blog link so I’m glad to be following you now. You’re living my (and many others I’m sure) dream!
FUN!!! Great to hear from you! Loving our adventures with whale sharks!
Way cool! At maybe 10 – 15 feet, that one is a precious little guy/girl. Whale sharks grow to as big as 41.5 feet long (41000 lbs.). They are the biggest living fish in the sea. They eat only plankton & small fish. No people admitted!
On second viewing maybe 20 – 30 feet! Still precious!
Sooooo cool, Coralie! Seeing and swimming with these guys was definitely a huge highlight of our summer. They’re amazing creatures!
OMG…that’s amazing…kinda scary too!
